Just by scanning the Amazon reviews of the Pet Gear No-Zip AT3 Stroller, you will soon realize how popular this pet stroller is. Although the stroller scores very highly in our review, there are some minor negative points that you should be aware of before deciding to buy.
Contents
Features:
- Spacious pet area that has a No-Zip opening for convenient access
- Interior fleece protector mat and water-proof tray
- Simple one-hand folding procedure
Build quality:
As with all of the Pet Gear models the build quality is very good. One of the most common complaints when it comes to pet strollers is the cheap zippers that are used, the pet gear products all seem to have heavy duty zippers that should withstand the punishment of daily use. However, heavy duty zippers are also more difficult to open and close, so if you have weak hands or a disability such as arthritis, you may want to look at one of the no-zip models such as the Pet Gear NV Pet Stroller.
Weighing in at only 27 Lbs you would expect the stroller to feel flimsy and cheaply made, however, the Pet Gear No-Zip AT3 Stroller does give the impression of a rugged machine that has been built to last. The material and mesh are also good quality and not the thin type as used on a lot of the cheaper type of strollers.

The stroller rolls very easily and thanks to the one handed folding mechanism it can be folded down or up in seconds, quickly and easily.
The handle has a padded grip that gives added comfort and extra control. The handle is not adjustable, but it is positioned at a reasonable height (41 inches from the floor) and angle to provide a comfortable walking position.
The underneath storage space is spacious enough to carry items such as water, treats and toys. There is also a tray that spans between the handles that has two cup/bottle holders and a closable compartment in the middle for small items.

Having the ability to lock and unlock the front wheel is another nice feature. It allows you to lock the wheel for straight runs or long distances and unlock it for more maneuverability.
Building the stroller can be completed in a few minutes and is as simple as clicking on the wheels and tray.
Storage Space:
The underneath storage area is large enough to hold all of your pets toys, treats, water and food. The other storage area that is located between the handle is a bit of a disappointment in the fact that the cup/ bottle holders are not deep enough.
Tires & Wheels:
Although this stroller is advertised as an All-Terrain Pet Stroller it does not have air filled tires, instead Pet Gear have opted for the EVA/Plastic type instead. While these types of tires will be ok for slightly bumpy or uneven roads, if you are planning to do some serious off road running or walking, I would suggest you look for a model with gel-filled tires instead. The 12 inch wheels are a very strong design and large enough not to get bogged down when going over sand, snow or pebbles.
Safety Features:
The parking brake is conveniently located so that it can be engaged and disengaged with you foot. The brake rod runs between the two back wheels. The stroller also has a safety tether fixed inside the pet cabin, which is ideal for keeping your pet secure.
Canopy:
The canopy has mesh on the bottom front, top front and at the top. The Pet Gear No-Zip AT3 Stroller uses Push button easy-locking, NO-ZIP entry to connect the hood to the stroller, allowing you to pull the hood back towards the handle.
Dimensions & Weight:
- Stroller Weight: 27 Lbs
- Maximum Weight Limit: 75 Lbs
- 12″ Quick-release tires
- Stroller Dimensions: 35″L x 28.5″W x 42″H
- Interior Dimensions: 30″L x 13″W x 22″H
- Shipping Dimensions (Carton/Box): 34″L x 15″W x 16.5″H
Wieght Limit:
With a 75 Lbs weight limit you may think that the stroller will be able to accommodate a medium to large pet with comparative ease. What you need to understand is that the weight limit has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the pet
Cons:
The Pet Gear No-Zip AT3 Stroller is at the budget end of the Pet Gear range, it still has the excellent build quality of the other strollers within the range, but it does lack some of the features, such as air filled tires, easy lock (no zipper) feature, Panoramic View Window and Elevated Paw Rest. The only other negative point that is apparent is the cup/bottle holders on the tray between the handles, they are just too small in both diameter and depth.
Conclusion:
Overall, the Pet Gear No-Zip AT3 all-terrain stroller is great for both cats and medium sized dogs. If you are looking for a quality stroller without the frills of the more expensive Pet Gear range, you might just have found it.
